We are looking for a place or more to stop on our way back from vacation with a 2 and 4 yo. We will be traveling along 77 and 95. I do not mind a little drive off the highway but I also need to know I am not going to much out of my way.

So what places do you have that would be fun to stop at that I could not do in OH or FL (where we are vacationing)?

Thanks,
Lisa Marie

you'll mostly be on 77 in SC and 77 entirely in NC? I'll think on it. There's plenty of stuff in Charlotte, but traffic is yucky, imo, there. Nice kids' museums, though.

http://www.lazy5ranch.com/ This is a big hit with kids, mine took a field trip there. It is about 10 miles from 77 though.

Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia is pretty nice. It's about 10 miles off I-77 also, but would be a fun place to spend a few hours (if you go, make sure to let your LOs feed the Lorakeets - my kids think this is a blast). Columbia also has a children's museum (Edventure) that is fun for preschoolers.

South Of The Border!!! It's really an incredible place---it looks so hokey and cheesy, but there's just tons of stuff, acres and acres I think. Food, fun, even motels and mini golf and rides and such.
