Been in NC since 2001, in WS since 2002. I think-I usually have to figure it backwards from when my dd was born and I'm too tired right now-so give or take a year.

I think we've tried this before, but would any of you want to get together for a play date? My house is small, but I'd host.

I'm in Fuquay! We moved here from N. Raleigh about a year and a half ago. I'd love to do a get together. I feel like I don't know anyone out here!

How exciting!
I am in Fuquay...we live in Southern Oakes.
I tried to get something going last year and it never happened, but I would love a playdate...I have a very very very active 15mo.

Married to my best friend since 08/05
Joyful mother to DS born 11/07 and DD born 04/10 (an unexpected HB)

I think the problem we had last time was settling on a day/time that worked for everyone wasn't it?

I woh T-F, but could host on a weekend or on Monday afternoons. Or we could meet at that playground in FV behind the gym that I can't think of the name of if that would be better.

What works best for most people?

I'm pretty wide open, Tuesday afternoons are out and my oldest gets out of school at 3:45, so as long as its earlier than that I'm game. Oh and weekends are fine with me, In fact dh works on Sat. so I'd love to have an outing planned.

Monday afternoon is cool with us. Weekends are ok sporadically, but there is so much we already try to cram in them.

Do any of you have suggestions for where to find a sitter in the area? DH and I have been here for 2 years, but do not have any friends in F-V because we both work long hours in different cities (Cary & Ft Bragg).
We need a sitter for 1-4 hours once (sometimes twice) a week to cover a work overlap.
If you know someone personally please PM me. DS is only 15 mo, so I would only feel comfortable with a very mature teen or adult.
We live in the Southern Oaks neighborhood.

I PM'ed you. I am a SAHM to a 3yr old and an 18 mo old. Our schedule is fairly flexible, so depending on the hours and your needs, I might be able to help.

I totally spaced this. Does anyone have a day to suggest that would work well for them? I don't really think we have too much going on in the next month.

I was just coming here to say the same thing Maybe we should just pick a date and hope everyone can come? This weekend looks kinda cold and rainy but next weekend looks like it will be really nice out. So what about Sat. the 7th? We could do a playground? Honeycutt is our favorite but any of them would be fine

We can't the weekend of the 7th, but maybe we could do it again soon. If next weekend wouldn't work for everyone then how about afternoon of the 14th. And we like the Honeycutt playground too-the one behind the gym right?

crud-I was hoping the nice weather was going to stay for a while.

I have dr. appt. in the morning-will afternoon work? I'm game to still meet, but don't really know any indoor places in FV... We're going to Asheville the next weekend. It's harder to coordinate than I thought!

um, there's really just McDonald's or Chick-fil-A lol. I'm fine with doing those, though. If we meet at an off time it shouldn't be too crowded. Afternoon is fine with me. Looks like its just us, huh?

I'm so sorry-I kept coming on here to reply but couldn't remember what time my appt. was in the morning.

If you're still available how about 1:00 or 1:30 at Chick-fil-A? Or if you think it will still be busy then we could try 2:00. We're pretty open...

I just realized how close in age your 2 youngest are to mine!

I think 1:30 would work. I'm just assuming it won't be too crowded, we've only been there a couple times I guess we'll find out...

Yeah i noticed our kiddos are really close in age, pretty cool!

see you tomorrow!
