I'm wondering if anyone knows whether Vanderbilt neonatologists and nurses allow kangaroo care and breastfeeding of older preemies about 34 weeks or older and over 5lbs?

I can't say about the preemie issue, but my son was 4 lbs 8 oz at birth and NOT a preemie and we were allowed to do whatever we wanted (which included both of those things). I would think as long astheir is no medical issue that gets in the way they should let you.

Success after Infertility (PCOS) with Traditional Chinese Medicine. Mom to Lucas (8/17/09) our intact, non vaccinated , cloth diapered, natural birth, attachment parented son.
