Some of you know me, Nikki (I started the Holistic Moms Network Chapter in Columbia, ICAN too) and my family.

Since I moved to Asheville last April, Kris (my childrens' father) hasn't been involved with the HMN family as much and I am posting here on his behalf to vouch that he isn't a creep, lol, and to help find a good fit between sitter and kids.

Kris needs a sitter on June 23rd (wednesday) and 24th (Thursday) ***in Lexington or Columbia***. He works "B" shift for Michelin on those days and needs someone for kiddie love from about 2pm to midnight. He is able to trade mechanic services, handywork, yard/landscaping work, light carpentry, hauling (he has a pick-up), moving stuff, herbal services, kombucha, childcare (he is great fun and a gentle care-giver), etc.

I am able to help as well. I am able to trade child-care in Asheville if you are looking to get away with your love (but not too far from your little loves), doulacare, homebirth consultancy - especially VBAC - lactation counseling, placenta medicine, belly casting, wool cloth diaper covers, meal planning and shopping, a day or two of errand running (in your town).... what do you need?

Thanks for your consideration. Feel welcome to PM me to further discuss.

Warmly,

Nikki

I can't help with the child-care, but wish I could! - I WOH a good part of the week, and WAH the other days. Hopefullly someone will come along who can

I am going to try to go to the next HMN meeting though it is closer to me now at 14 carrot, it is harder to try to get to, since it is during the day. . .when I looked on ican's website, I only saw groups in greenville and charleston, not columbia, do you know if it is still active?

Katrina, if you can think of another mama, papa, or friend who might be a good fit for sitting, please pass this info along. Thanks for wanting to help.

The ICAN of the Midlands Chapter isn't running, officially, though there is a yahoo group which is going to be converted to a VBAC meetup group for the state. There will ultimately be meetings in Charleston, Columbia, and wherever else folks want to host.

The Charleston ICAN chapter isn't running anymore either, though several of the members are on the ICAN Midlands yahoo group.

Feel free to get in touch if you require further direction toward information and resources.
