I have recently been offered a job in Bowling Green, KY but we are considering settling in Nashville. The biggest factor is daycare/preschool for our two year old - we would actually consider moving based on proximity to a good daycare/preschool. He has been in a Waldorf preschool (home-based on a farm) until now, but doesn't age into the Waldorf school primary program in Nashville until he is three. So in the meantime, we would love a gentle daycare that doesn't stress academic achievement, doesn't use "discipline," and in general just provides a safe nurturing environment where children can play and learn at their own pace in a safe space where they can just "be." We would consider Montessori if it doesn't emphasize achievement too much (some do, some don't) or a home-based daycare. Anything nature-oriented would be super.... Would welcome any ideas.....
