This month we're having a Birth Circle! A Birth Circle is a safe nonjudgmental forum to share experiences, ask questions, connect with members of the local birth community, or just to listen and be a part of the experience. We are working toward the goal of empowering women (in a good way!) to take control of their births, to provide them with caring support, sound guidance, and evidence-based information, and to create a safe place for encouragement, healing and connection. There is too much value to can be gleaned from hearing each others' stories for us to stay silent!
When and Where: Monday May 20th 7pm at The Nesting Place Acupuncture and Wellness, 605 Berry Rd, Nashville TN 37204
What to Bring: As always, ICANoN's monthly meetings are FREE, but please bring a roll of paper towels, toilet paper, or tissues to donate to The Nesting Place for letting us use their beautiful office space.
Who Should Come: This is for women who have had babies, are trying to have babies, or who want to have babies in the future sometime - no matter what option you choose for birth (hospital, home, cesarean, VBAC). Anyone interested in healthy pregnancy, birth, and recovery is welcome to attend, including doulas and other birth professionals. While childcare is not provided, children with quiet toys and babes-in-arms are welcome.
For more information, contact us:
ICAN of Nashville holds free monthly educational and support meetings for the community. The International Cesarean Awareness Network, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).
