Anyone know of any? We're only 6wks pg, so we've got a little time, but I'd like to start looking now to find someone we really click with.

I had two homebirths in Martinsburg if you're still interested. If you are, let me know and I'll email you with the MW's I used.

I a, in Va and my dd is using a midwife. I was talking to a young man that is getting married in about 6 months and he was very interested in learning more about homebirthing. He said his girlfriend has told him whne she has children that is what she wanted but it freaked him out. I told him to do his homework now and educate himself. He lives in Princton, WV Anyone know of any midwives there or groups this young coupl could learn from now?
Thanks
Lynda

i know two m/w's that will serve that area, please PM me if you are still looking for someone in Martinsburg.

regarding other areas of the state, you should contact the Midwives Alliance of WV, if there is someone in their area they can refer you.

We found an awesome MW to work with us, and our insurance will cover the HB. Thanks!

I understand this thread is a few years old, but I would like information on midwives that will assist in home births in the Martinsburg area.  I have  had some bad experiences with my OB and I think an assisted home birth is a better option for myself and my baby.

I am moving from Missouri (Where home birth is legal for the midwife) to Martinsburg and was looking to connect with a good midwife for a baby due in August, and was hoping you could connect me to a recommendation...

Thanks! <3

For homebirth, the two practices below are the only in the area, I believe.

http://www.riversidemidwifery.com/

http://www.sacredmidwifery.com/

Zaina from Sacred midwifery is such a sweetheart.

If you want a midwife attended hospital birth, Shenandoah Community Health has a midwife practice.
