Tribal club crashing here, I just came across this on the ICAN board & thought it might be helpfull to youse- in case you haven't seen it.

Boy that really shows the difference between physicians! I'm still surprised at how many episiotomies are being done because they are linked to increased perineal pain and decreased sexual function/pleasure. (and nobody wants to lose that!) They should be a rare occurrence. Better to tear anyway as it heals up stronger and not as likely to tear with the next baby. Episiotomies frequently tear back open with the next baby.

They need to include licensed midwives in this informative tool as well.
