I moved to Charlottesville a year ago and would like to meet some new people. I am home most of the time with my 3.5 year old, and I need some good excuses to get out of the house and be social.

I'm into self-awareness, conscious parenting, traditional foods, making food from scratch, earth-based Judaism, women's circles, and have aspirations to be a lactation consultant when the time is right.

If there are any like-minded mamas out there that would like to join me for a walk or a cup of tea I'd love to hear from you :O)

Absolutely. I'm a horrible tea addict. I have a thirteen-year-old and am expecting baby number two perhaps in the beginning of August. We're vegetarians, eco-conscious, artists and community-involved whenever possible. I arrange large arts events and love meeting new people. I'm very near downtown. Whereabouts are you?

Thanks so much for writing back--I just checked the mothering forum and read your note. I live in Batesville, about 20 min from town. I was a vegetarian for 8 years until pregnancy made it impossible for me (but I know plenty of mamas who had no issues being pregnant as vegetarians). My husband and I both love making pottery, though it will be a long time before I'll get my hands on a potter's wheel with any regularity...Oooh it would be fun to get together and do some drawing some time--what type of art do you like to work with? I'll send you a private message so you have my email address. Thanks for reaching out!
