We just moved to MI this summer and dd has her first well check this week.
I vaguely remember the dr telling us that there is some sort of online/computer database in MI to record medical info, vaxes, etc and we'd have to fwd the medical records from the ped so they could get all that entered in... there was some spiffy name for it I can't remember...

we're not vaxing dd (though her 2 older sibs are fully vaxed) and while we may selectively vax her later, I'm not sure I want all the info in a database for all 3 kids... just in case someone questions why 2 of 3 are vx and one isn't...

also, not sure where we might move to later, so while MI has all 3 exemptions (right?), I'm not sure I want to state philosphical if we then later move somewhere where that isn't an option and we might run into difficulties trying to get exemptions then... (though we aren't planning on moving, so maybe it's all moot)

am I just over-thinking all this, or being paranoid about having all this info 'out there'?
anyone care to jump in with thoughts, ideas??

(should I post this in Vax instead?)

It is called the Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR). As far as I know, the only medical information on it is immunizations. You can opt out of it. Here is the link to the form:

Amanda, wife to A , mama to D ('05), O ('07), and W ('10)
