Hi Mamas,
Our family is taking a road trip next week that will have us crossing all the way through your great states on RT 80. We are stopping in Cleveland overnight with tentative plans to go to the children's museum there. Other than that our slate is pretty blank. Any suggestions for fun attractions would be much appreciated, including if the children's museum in Cleveland is a good choice or if there is another place in Cleveland that you would recommend more highly. Any nice playgrounds or particularly good rest stops along RT 80? Any other places that we should really try to see? We like museums, nature centers and local flavor types of places. Oh, and our son is almost four years old if that helps.

Thanks so much for any advice you can give!

The Ohio turnpike has some of the best rest stops! Clean bathrooms, family rest room, decent food (Panera etc.) There is some decent green space at most of them for the kids to run a bit too. This page tells you which stops have the good food:

The Great Lakes Science Center (in Cleveland) is pretty neat, even for adults, you might check out their website & see if you think your little one would like it. It's been so long since I've been to the children's museum (since I was a kid) that I don't remember much about it...
