Hello, everyone!

We recently found a cowshare program in Shipshewana! It is an Amish family dairy, certified organic. In fact, he sells milk to the Organic Valley company, so his milking set-up is regularly inspected for cleanliness, etc. The milk tastes wonderful--mild and sweet, and just enough cream on top that you can skim it off for your coffee or to make butter, or just stir it in for extra richness!

Anyway, we took the kids up there last Sat. and got to tour the farm--it was a lot of fun! They also have free-range chickens, who lay great big gorgeous eggs with rich golden yolks!

We are very excited, and I wanted to pass along the info if anyone here is interested. It would be nice to share the expense of travel if others in the Ft. Wayne area are interested. If you are interested in more info, or if you know anyone else who might be interested, please PM me!
