Check w/ the metroparks. I know Old National Trail at the Englewood reserve used to do it. I think they had it at Carriage Hill too. It was just a week-long day camp.

My sister went here when she was younger. She really enjoyed it. We grew up on a horse farm, so it was a little strange that she wanted to go to horse camp, but she loved it.

There is also, Stoneybrook farms, Fox Run, Stowe Arabians, there is another Arab place in Springfeild, I can never remember the name of it. The don't do daycamps, not that I know of, but they do have lessons.

Depending on how old your DS is, the BEST lessons that I have ever had, were from college aged persons who either board or lease from a stable. Whoever has extra time and a horse that is good around kids.

ETA: I forgot to add, Marmon Valley is really (really really) religious. Just FYI.

I'm crunchy... Like a Dorito.

They have to be 8 years old and DS1 just turned 7.

I'm more toward Cincinnati, but I got one of my current horses from the Conference School of Horsemanship (937-848-7075, 4117 Conference Road, Bellbrook). They were very clean and I liked how they were run. Might see if they do camps. I can't remember the name of the woman who owns it, but she may be able to steer you to a good place.

Regardless of where you go, make sure they require the kids to wear boots and helmets (when riding) and ideally long pants too. Stay way clear of any place that doesn't require helmets! Quality places also keep the stalls pretty clean and horses in good weight.

Getting better. The WIC LC's were able a lot of help on getting him to latch without an hour of fighting it. Now we are just down to a few minutes of getting positioning and enough into his mouth before he is able to get a good latch.

I need to call ABC dental to have him evaluated for possible tongue tie.

But other than that...he is the easiest of the four kids. Wakes up, eats, poops/pees, and sleeps.

I used Mazer, but he is north of town in Harrison Township, on North Main Street right up the street from where the DQ used to be, and around where St. Rita's is located.

I have used him in pregnancies before..and have not had much problems.

Anyone know of any places that have social skill groups for kids?

I am thinking I may put DS2 in it..to maybe help with his current issues, especially his need to constantly torment his older brother 24/7. Because honestly, if something is not done soon about it, I am going to put them with no toys or anything in separate rooms all day every day, and never take them anywhere...

Hey ladies, cheap or free stuff to do locally? We have a zoo pass and museum pass, anything involving those would be awesome too.

Also water splash pads?? I know of the one in Middletown at Smith Park, any other local ones?
