Hello! I'm hoping that someone can help me out. I am in need of a good Reproductive Endocrinologist in the Michiana area (N. Indiana/S. Michigan).

This past year we moved to Shipshewana, Indiana (LaGrange County). I'm still finding my way, trying to find good Drs. I drive an hr to see an holistic MD, as I didn't like the local Family Practice MD. He took me off my thyroid med (wouldn't renew RX from previous MD), told me I didn't have hypothryoid, told me that it wasn't any big deal if it took me over 2 years to get pregnant again! So I finally found an MD that is helping me with my thyroid and I feel SO much better since being on the thyroid meds. Also, will I need a referral before I can make an appt with an RE, or can I just call and make an appt?

Thanks in advance for your help with this!

I can't suggest an RE in IN (I live in Chesterton but my RE was in Chicago) however, I can answer one of your questions. It might depend upon your insurance, but I simply called the RE and scheduled my own appointment.

Good luck!

Hello! Wondering if anyone has experience with REs in Fort Wayne. I was referred by OB/GYN midwife to Midwest Fertility Specialists in Fort Wayne. My appt is on Wed with Dr. Colver. Dr. Bopp see pts there, but it was a much longer wait to see him. Any information on either of these RE Drs would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
