We are expecting our first and looking for a pro-breastfeeding, flexible vax, personable pediatrician. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Dr. Moscovic at Clarkston Medical (75/Sashabaw Rd), he is great! Everything you're looking for and he has 4 children of his own and doesn't mind that I don't come in for all the well baby checkups.

Wife to Jesse, Mom to Ayden 12/01, Kailey 07/03, Ashlyn 6/05, Dylan 9/07, & Riley 12/09

Yup. A lot of my friends and clients use him. and love him! I also like that they are open 24 hours...they call it a prompt care but don't charge prompt care prices, just charge office visit co-pay.

Our peds are at 18.5 and Mound. They don't know much about breastfeeding (call LLL for that), but are comfy with all the other stuff, and are "supportive" of breastfeeding as long as it's going well or you have a plan. Being in contact with LLL with help you to have an evidence based plan. THey are all for working with you and seeing YOU as the expert on your child. They have all breastfed their babies (or their spouses did) so understand why you would want to. They are Pediatric Health Care, you'd find their number in the smartpages under Sharon McManus, but we like any of them...Becky Wegner is my kids' favorite, or Mark Deprez, though I'd say that as far as natural parenting goes, the most understanding is probably Dr. Heugen. She's great too!

Mama to two awesome kids. Wife to a wonderful, attached, loving husband. I love my job-- I'm a Midwife, Doula and Childbirth Educator, Classes forming now!

I take my daughter to Pediatric Consultants of Troy located on the 3rd floor of Troy Beaumont. All the doctors have been supportive of our vaccination choice, breastfeeding and are very friendly. Right now my daughters primary doc is Dr. Dubina and I have absolutely no complaints. She is wonderful! Their view on vaccinations is that you are the parent and its up to you.

I have been happy with Dr. Margolis in Sterling Heights - 19 Mile & Mound. He is okay with unvaccinated children.

Expecting a boy? Be sure to check out MDC's Case Against Circumcision!
