The Lake Orion Clothes Swap, Thurs, Sept 30 10am-7pm
I (with the help of several friends) hold a clothes swap in Lake Orion at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church twice a year, and the fall Swap will be held on Thursday, September 30th, from 10am to 7pm. Christ the Redeemer is on Waldon Road between Baldwin and Joslyn Roads in Lake Orion.
Please go through your closets and drawers and clean out what is too small, or hasn’t been worn in a while! Bag up clean clothes, and bring them over to the swap. There is no fee, there are no minimums or maximums. We bring what we have, and take whatever we need.
We accept premie through adult clothes of all sizes, all we ask is that they be clothes that you wouldn’t mind wearing or putting your kids in if you went out in public. We accept maternity wear, breastfeeding/nursing wear, and shoes, as well.
Sometimes people come with very little and leave with several bags. Other times people come with a van load and leave with little or nothing, but we always seen to have enough to go around, and typically a little left over. Leftovers go to local charities.
We always need volunteers, so if you have an hour or two, please consider coming to help (a little teaser: volunteers get to help unpack clothes, so tend to get the pick of the litter, so to speak ). To volunteer, or with questions, PM me.
Hope you can make it!!
