Our midwife recently asked us where we would want to go if we had to transfer. She mainly serves the Ann Arbor area and normally goes to St Joes' in Ypsi or U of M hospital in A2 with transfers, but we are in South Lyon and actually live closer to Providence of Novi. SJ and Providence are both about a half hour away- Providence is 15 minutes.

Does anyone have HB transfer experience with any of these hospitals? We aren't anticipating having to go, but I'd like to know if I can expect a better experience at one of these places if it does happen.

I transfer mostly to St. Joe and UofM and have had good experiences there. I worked for years as a doula, there, though, so I'm a familiar face to them. I think that helps a little bit.

My midwife friend Kate took one of her clients to Providence Park and had a good experience there too. I think it depends a lot on who's on call for that day.

Good luck!
