I'm so sorry you have had such a rough time-- that is a lot to go through, especially while pregnant. If you need baby items, have you tried a crisis pregnancy center? They helped me out with a free ultrasound when I was uninsured and in a bad spot. There is one in Columbus just 6 miles south of Hilliard called PDHC. I've had friends who have gotten a car seat, stroller, and clothing from such centers.

Sometimes La Leche League is a good way to connect with other moms. The women there may be able to lend some advice about midwives or natural birth-friendly doctors covered by medicaid. There are LLL meetings in the Columbus area for sure.

Hang in there, you'll be in my prayers :)

Thanks WaitingMama... I have applied for Medicaid and it looks like they will help me. I think I might have found a good place... called "Woman's Contemporary Health Center" and they accept Medicaid and highly support natural birth and midwifes.

As for LLL, I have heard of it. What is it exactly? I always thought it was for mum's with their kids- not pregnant first timers.
