Lansing, MI area natural birth options and doula

Hi everyone,

I would really like a natural birth. I currently live in the Lansing, MI area. There aren't any birth centers in the area unfortunately. My husband is not completely sold on the idea of a home birth. I think it's mostly due to this being our first birth and the unknown of birth. We are open to traveling to an out of the area hospital. I did read some information about a doula helping with making hospital births more natural. Does anyone have any area doula rec's or natural birth hospital recommendations?

You could check out the providers listed at the WIllow tree Family Center webpage- they have doulas listed as well as care providers. We do have 1 hospital based midwife, Sameerah Shareef, who works out of McClaren.
