Where do you like to go for U-Pick!? In particular, is there anything out there without the use of chemicals and pesticides, or not as much ?
Thanks!

Have you been to Lynd's? They always have tasty apples, cider, preserves, pumpkins, etc. They also have a corn maze, though I'm not sure what the hours are for that Not sure about pesticides...
It's in Pataskala...I used to live in Granville but I'm in Kent now, and I don't know of any places here :P

Charlie's Apples

No touristy stuff.

He's got a picnic table and pond where you can eat your lunch after picking. They were lucky to be sheltered a bit from the wind storm, and they didn't lose many apples.

I think the prices were $14 for a bushel (?) (~20 pounds).

Waah. I wish I hadn't scheduled The Business of Being Born to watch with my students tomorrow afternoon. I'd go apple-picking instead!!

Maybe next weekend.

DS, 10/07. Allergies: peanut, egg, wheat. We've added dairy back in. And taken it back out again. It causes sandpaper skin with itchy patches and thrashing during sleep. Due w/ #2 late April, 2012.

Yeah, the pictures in the blog are from Charlie's Apples.

I hope you have fun!

ASusan, wow, taking your students to see BoBB. That would never fly here.

this place looks great! interesting, $14 is cheaper than Lynds, which is not organic. We might need to plan a drive out there soon.
