Since my DH and I are expecting baby #2 in November, I have begun thinking about what kind of bed to get for DD when she's ready to move out of our bed. She's almost 20 months now and will be over 24 months when her little sibling arrives. I'm not planning on night weaning her but I know sometimes they wean themselves when the next one comes along. Since we will be living in a 2BR apartment when #2 arrives and are planning on putting DD's things in the second BR, I was wondering if it'd be a good idea to get her her own bed and if so what kind. I thought about the toddler bed, but she would outgrow that pretty quickly. A twin bed? Bunk bed (since we'll have a second kid to share the room eventually)? Trundle bed? Futon? Also, advice on how and when to transition from our bed? Any links would be appreciated. Thanks!
