Hi! I'm looking for a raw milk source, preferably in either the Columbia or Silver Spring area, but I am willing travel. Please pm me if you know of one. TIA!

I am being very over cautious here, but we need to protect these sources. Given that you are a new member and have no history here of talking about or supporting natural and raw foods movement I hope that others will keep this source to themselves. It only takes one member of the Health Department joining a list to destroy the sources we have. Sorry OP, but you have to earn trust to get into these coops!

Ouch. I certaintly do not work for the health dept or anyone related. Given my dificulties with them over my homebirth, believe me when I say there is no love lost there. While I am new to the raw food movement (hence no previouse discussion), I belive very strongly in supporting my local agriculture community and do so in action. I am a CSA member of an awesome local organic farm and proud to support them. Concerning raw milk, i'm trying to find an alternative to formula and pastaurized milk to supplement DD2 with since I'm pregnant and having trouble keeping up my supply. Point taken about being too new to post about something so sensitive, but I wasn't sure where else to look. I do understand and respect your desire to protect your sources.

I know it's a long drive, but for now, you could consider going up to Pennsylvania. It's legal there, if sold on the farm and even in some stores, I think. It's also legal in VA, if you join a cow share.
