Ever since the birth of my second daughter a year ago I have been having horrible thyroid issues. I was diagnosed with Postpartum Thyroiditis as well as Hashimoto's. I have tried every natural or alternative treatment out there. Had a lot of relief from symptoms with acupuncture, but just don't feel 100% yet.
I have been to two endocrinologists and didn't really like either of them. From what I hear, Hashi's patients have a lot of success when treated with a small amount of thyroid medication. My Endo won't treat me unless I go completely hypo, which I haven't yet, and may not for years. Meanwhile, I suffer with some bothersome and annoying symptoms.
I'm wondering if anyone out there has a great Endocrinologist you could refer. I would love to get another opinion. I just feel like I'm sitting back while my body attacks itself and there is nothing i can do about it.
I would really appreciate suggestions and input.
