I wanted to let you all know that we had our first newborn appointment with Dr. Morgan-Cooper, a Baltimore Pediatrician, and I am very pleased by her knowledge and tolerance for alternative pregnancy, birth and newborn care choices.

Thanks so much for posting! My husband and I recently interviewed pediatricians and decided to go with Dr. Morgan-Cooper when our first baby arrives. We were really impressed with her. It's great to hear that you are pleased with her so far!

We have been seeing her since DD was born and have been very happy as well.  I'm not as crunchy as some on these boards, but she has been very supportive of breastfeeding- she was way more help to me than the LC I saw at the hospital when I was having trouble getting started BFing, and helped me fix my latch and work through other BFing challenges without ever suggesting formula.  We vax on a slow schedule and she has been fine with it.  I also really like her demeanor with my DD- very patient and positive.

Does anyone know if Morgan-Cooper is hands-off with intact boys? Does she manipulate foreskin in any way?

I have only girls, sorry.  I would guess, given what else I know about her practice, that she is current on care recomondations.
