My 'regular' OBGYN whom I've been seeing just for yearly pap smears suggested that I get a c-section due to my Crohn's disease, fistulas, and abcesses. I'm looking for an OBGYN in the Baltimore area who would be pro a natural delivery despite my issues.
I don't have any recommendations personally since I live far from Baltimore, but I bet if you emailed some of the doulas/childbirth educators on this list, they would be happy to offer suggestions. They are often a good source of recommendations and insight.
Best of luck!

I don't know if Kathy Slone and Associates (midwives) would be able to deliver your baby, but it would be worth it to schedule a consult with one of them. ( I think its 410-235-0506)
They would be able to refer you to someone that would be able to help you. Depending on your circumstances, they might even refer you to Dr. Robert Atlas, who is the head of OB/GYN at Mercy. for the head of a hospital delivery unit, he is very pro natural birth. One of the posters here went to him to turn a breech before a homebirth, and was pretty impressed-- he had absolutely no problem with her having a homebirth, which is strikes me as unusual for a hospital based doctor. I've seen him, too, for care of a miscarriage that was taking way too long to clean up, and he is definetly "low-intervention" style! You can only be seen by him via referral, as he specializes in high risk.
More importantly it really depends on what your GI is saying about the risks of a vaginal birth to your disease process vs c/section with possibility of adhesions.Have you joined a crohns disease support group ?have any of those women have similar problems and what was their choice, and were they happy with their decisions?
