Looking for some experiences from SB clients who had a stubbornly breech baby...I'm guessing SB doesn't do breech deliveries at the birthing center and this will require seeing one of the AAMC supervising physicians. Anybody have experience with Annapolis OB/GYNs performing vaginal breech birth or are we headed for a c-section?
(We're trying for an unmedicated natural birth so we're trying Spinning Babies exercises, Webster chiropractic care, moxibustion acupuncture and prayer though we will consider an ECV to avoid the section).
Any input would be helpful! Thanks!
AAMC protocol is breech = section.
I planned to deliver my 2nd child at Bay Area, we found out when I was in labor that she was breech. It was too late to do any turning, my water had broken 12 hours prior to me arriving at the birth center. The staff was compassionate and respectful for the most part. The only complaints I had was the triage (?) staff when I came in. I was (obviously) still really upset and they just couldn't understand why I was crying.
I would be happy to discuss our experience with you! Feel free to PM me. Though I hope your baby turns and you don't need to hear from me.

Spinning Babies is great! I found out that the chiropractor whose teaching is featured on the website, Dr. Carol Phillips, lives and practices in Annapolis. Two last-minute visits at 38 and 39 weeks with her saved me from a c-section with my transverse 3rd baby. My easiest and fastest labor ever---she is the best.
Her website is dynamicbodybalancing.com She stays booked up for months, but give her a call, and she will do her best to work you in. Her husband Bruce Chaffin does a lot of the same work (tho he's a rolfer by trade and doesn't do chiro adjustments), and he's much easier to get an appointment with.
Best wishes for a great delivery
