I edited my post because I think I misunderstood your question...I do have experience with Shady Grove midwives and yes I found them (I met with 4 and talked with one on the phone at L&D) and the hospital itself, (the nurses in L&D I met) to be more "medically" involved. I did switch out of their care at 37 weeks because I didn't like it. It could be her experience working in the hospital, I know one midwife at Shady Grove was not like that, but I only met with her once, she did give different answers then the others, but then she left during my pregnancy.
