Does anyone have experience with the midwives at shady grove vs Kathy slone's group at mercy? The newest midwife with Kathy's group came from shady grove and she seems a bit more "medical" (for lack of a better term) than the others in the group. Wondering if this is because of the way things were at that hospital vs mercy, or if this is an individual thing.

I edited my post because I think I misunderstood your question...I do have experience with Shady Grove midwives and yes I found them (I met with 4 and talked with one on the phone at L&D) and the hospital itself, (the nurses in L&D I met) to be more "medically" involved. I did switch out of their care at 37 weeks because I didn't like it. It could be her experience working in the hospital, I know one midwife at Shady Grove was not like that, but I only met with her once, she did give different answers then the others, but then she left during my pregnancy.

I got your original response in my email. It made sense. That's what I wanted to know. Thank you for taking time to reply!
