I would like to create a weekly or biweekly meet up for those of us who are sharing our lives and families with someone who has a mental illness... in my case, my SO suffers from bipolar disorder, untreated.
Ideally, it would be for a couple of hours per session and we could begin by sharing our experiences if we so choose then opening the meeting up for civil discussion, the exchange of ideas, updates on the latest research, etc. A healthy place that reminds us that we are not alone, not to take it personally, and gives us hope and suggestions on how to cope, grieve, etc.
Thought I'd bump this up for attention since it hasn't gotten any replies.
