Maryland is moving to eliminate the religious exemption for vaccination! Attend the Maryland hearing Monday, March 16, 1:00pm.
From NVIC:
"A bill to eliminate the religious belief exemption to mandatory vaccination in Maryland has been filed. HB 687 was introduced on 2/12/2015 and had a first reading in the House Health and Government Committee. This bill is sponsored by Delegates Benjamin S Barnes, Campos, Frush, Jackson, and C. Wilson.
Maryland does not have a conscientious or personal belief exemption. If this bill passes the only option for parents who choose to delay or decline one or more of the vaccines required for school in Maryland will be for limited medical contraindications.
We are asking everyone in Maryland who cares about the right to execute a religious exemption to delay or decline one or more vaccines, to immediately contact your delegate and senator and ask them to oppose HB 687. http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/2015RS/bills/hb/hb0687F.pdf - text for HB 687."
