I was wondering if anyone here could point me to an instructor who is awesome?

We live in Carroll County, but we're willing to travel to Howard or parts of Baltimore County (Owings Mills, Catonsville) for a good instructor.

I recommend BOTH of the ones I know of! One was my doula - Jessica Groves - I'm pretty sure she's in Carroll Cnty (I don't know that area very well). But she is PG now with her 3rd, due next month. So she might not be starting up another class in the near future.
She follows the standard ciriculum of 12 weeks.

DH & I took Bradley training with Paula Andrezweski at the Greater Baltimore Yoga Center in Timonium. She condenses the training to 3 weekends. Sat & Sun, I think 2:00 - 5:00 was the time. But it was personal - just DH & I. I think she always does it that way (individual couples rather than a class of people.)

Thanks for the plug, Meg! I'm due later in December and will not be stopping teaching at any point. I have a full Sept series but an Oct series and Dec series both with availability!

I actually teach all 12 classes of the Bradley Method but over a 10 week period. I have a series starting this week, Monday, October 6th. I have very reasonable fees and offer lots to my couples that is included in the fee including a Yahoo Group of files and files of resources, two childbirth books, assistance finding a birth place/provider, DVD-enriched classes and much more!

I second this recommendation as well, we took her class and loved it. Dh recommends her to everyone. She is located in Eldersburg, was also our doula and a wonderful birth companion -- I look forward to birthing with her again... though not anytime soon (heh). Jessica's class is a little farther north and I'm sure it is also a good choice as well.

Karen happily partnered mother of 3 beautiful girls (teen/toddler/newborn).

I teach Bradley in Columbia MD. I have been teaching for 9 years, although only recently in Howard county due to a move. I can provide you with several students for references and have a class beginning on Oct. 19th. I teach Sunday evenings from 6-8pm. I find that is a good time because there is no traffic issue and you can go away for the weekend and still get back for classes. PM me if you would like further information.

If you can travel to Columbia, I would recommend Lorrie, and actually my husband would too! We learned A LOT and really felt that her class was the best thing we did for our birth (we had a UC at home). PM me if you'd like a more detailed recommendation or one from my DH
