We recently moved to northwestern nj and I'm having a hard time finding things to do. I'm interested in playgroups, homeschooling groups, sports/classes for 5 and 3 year old, and groups/classes and just generally interesting things to do myself. If you know of anything interesting at all, I'd like to hear it. Thanks!

I'm a member (and co-leader) of the Sussex county Holistic Moms group. We meet in Lafayette at 6:30 the 2nd Tuesday of every month. If you're on facebook, look us up--http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30085770&id=1456566573#!/group.php?gid=111076835570103&ref=ts

There's also an Attachment Parenting group that meets once a month in Hackettstown. We meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 10am at either the Music Together studio or Doctors Park depending on the weather.

There's also a Raw Food group that just started! It's pretty interesting and we have a potluck/speaker/topic and that's the first Friday of the month at 7pm.

I'd be happy to give you more info on any of these if you want!

Hey!
We used to live in NW Jersey and a lot of times we just went to nature preserves to hike, and explore. We also loved going to Warwick NY - there's a lot of really lovely farms to hang out in, play, get ice cream the farmers market there is awesome, and the town itself is really cute for exploring.

Also:

The Lakota Wolf Preserve is a great place!

I also just moved to NW NJ (Mount Olive) in September! I went to an Attachment Parenting meeting and it was awesome, but it now conflicts with my son's preschool so I can't make it.

I'm loving all the above links! Thanks all!

DH and I grew up in NW NJ (Newton and Sparta).

Just wanted to pop in to see all the mamas from my home area.

We love the nature areas.

Children deserve the respect of puzzling it out.
