Are you aware of a bill going to the senate today hopefully that will help our midwives? If you can give 3 mins to make a couple calls today, we may see it pass!

Here's all the info you need: http://freeourmidwives.org/our-final-push-this-is-it/

Thank you!!
Amy

Called and emailed, and my Senator is on the "unsure Republican" list. Here's hoping!

I just heard that the Midwifery Modernization Act passed the Senate today! I am so inspired that due to the calling/emailing/visiting our elected reps over the last few months, we actually got this legislation passed despite heavy opposition from the doctors/ACOG and their lobbists!!! I have new faith in democracy.

The midwives and women of NY did it! It passed the Senate unanimously! It's amazing. I'm so happy that Albany managed to get this right with all the other problems they are having.

And some really supportive men helped, too! I'm so, so, so happy that the MMA passed! Off to thank the senators and assembly members who voted yes...
