Gov. Paterson is planning to VETO THE MIDWIFERY MODERNIZATION ACT this afternoon, despite WIDE consumer support, a huge margin of victory in the Assembly, and a UNANIMOUS vote in the Senate. If you have 15 seconds please call NOW to voice your support for homebirth & midwives. 518-474-8390. All you have to do is leave your zip code. Thanks!

This is the bill that allows midwives great ability to practice, especially to practice w/o a written practice agreement which is currently required for homebirth midwives - it is vital for NY and midwives!
