 Hello Everyone,

I live in the Delaware County area and have been searching for a widwife, either to deliver in a birthing center or at home.

My first was an emergency c-section (no problem with size, my pelvis, labor progressing or anything anatomical)

My second was a successful VBAC!!!

Even though I already had a VBAC, no problems what-so-ever, I can not find anyone to help me.

Please, I need some help. Does anyone know of a midwife who will attend home births? Or of a birthing center that will deliver me???

Thanks

Sara

I go to Valley Birthplace in Huntingdon Valley.  There are 2 midwives (Barabara D'Amato and Melecia Escobar), and they will do homebirths or birth center births for VBAC patients who have also had a successful vaginal birth.  I haven't delivered with them yet, but they have been great for my prenatal care.  I'm looking forward to my VBAC in February!!

Good Luck!!

Kathy Hindle (Midwifery Traditions) delivered both of my babies at home. I'm not sure what her policy is on VBACs since you've already had one, but she is absolutely the best. Her # is 215-249-9646.

There's also Ronni Rothman/WomanWise Midwifery. She has office hours in Mt Airy and Plymouth Meeting and delivers at Montgomery Hospital.
