I'm 9 weeks along with 3rd baby and I would like to know if anyone knows of a good midwife that would do a home water birth in the Pittsburgh area (South Fayette to be more exact). Thanks!
Hi, I am from the Beaver County area, and I know of a midwifery service called Merry Blessings. They are great! Here's the link. http://www.merryblessings.com/index.html
I used a doula from this service and she was awesome! GL

Would you be willing to also message me with any possible names for exploring a home birth option? I am due next March with my fourth and final baby and have had very smooth deliveries with midwives all three times and would like to go even lower key this time if possible. Thanks. :)
That's not the only place or way to birth at home just an option. Many women are drawn to water as a peaceful relaxing experience. Water birth has been described as the midwifes epidural. Because many women describe the experience of laboring in water as lessening the pressure, heaviness, tension. Making the intensity of the contraction more manageable. Water birth isn't for everyone. But I like at least the option for my clients.
