Hi

I was wondering if there is a place where are the midwives serving the area are listed and what their qualifications are;lay midwife,cnm...

OR if you can tell me a bit about the midwife that you used.I'm leaning toward a hospital birth with a midwife, can't seem to find one though.

Also, looking for a doula,if you used one,can you tell me about it...

thanks

Hi!

Janet Capetta is a wonderful midwife in the Cherry Hill area.  Also, I'd highly recommend Jill Dillner as a doula.  She is from Englishtown and I'm not sure if she'll go all the way to Cherry Hill, but maybe!  Jill's website is www.wisebirthchoices.com

Good luck!

Ok,thank you.Does anyone else out there perhaps know a midwife that delivers in the hospital? As crazy as this sounds,I had a bad experience with an hb midwife not showing up and leaving me high and dry to go into the hospital, very scary so I almost feel like if I use someone delivering in the hospital,I'll know others as well as she will probably not be working alone.

But,since still toying with hb,any other experiences with different midwives as well would be appreciated,I want to do my homework:)

Is there a list anywhere with all the midwives in the area?

Also looking for a doula,I don't think she services my area

thanks ladies

Sorry you're not getting any other responses...

You could check out Pam and Louise, I forget their last names. They are CNM's and do both homebirths and hospital births, at Capital Health maybe? I have known others in the past be happy with them, but while it's not really far, I don't believe they are exactly in your neighborhood either. http://www.midwiferycare.org/midwife/home.html

I also list other options on my website which I don't think I'm allowed to post here - but you could google it for those resources ;)

I'm a doula that sometimes comes to that area in Jersey. Email me at lori@delcodoula.com if you are interested in talking more. If I don't have availability for your due date, I have plenty of other doulas I could refer you to.

Good luck!
