Hi Everyone,

I have a friend who is looking for an affordable lawyer to help with her divorce. She lives in Passaic county. Any recommendations or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Does she truly need a lawyer?  Because I know at least 4 couples that did it on their own.  Two of the couples DID have children but none of them owned property (so I don't know if that makes a difference).

And can you give the county?

Hi, thanks for your response. She lives in Passaic County and yes, she does need a lawyer.

Have her reach out to the bar association http://www.passaicbar.org/index.php they have attorneys they can recommend that either do work on sliding scale or, if her income permits, pro bono work.   I'm sorry you friend is going through this difficult time and I hope she is able to get some assistance.
