Does anyone happen to know if Tioga County PA has issued a State of Emergency in preperation for Hurricane Sandy?

I don't know if they have declared a state of the emergency but it is going to get hit.

Best to do whatever preparedness you can do now.

Could be power outages..get batteries for radio and flashlights etc.

Yuck. This is going to be bad. My dad told me this morning we could be looking at 7-10 days without power. Without power I don't have running water, lights, or heat. I have well water so the pump from the well is electric. So without electricity I don't have anything. No shower, no baths for the kids, no lights, no dishes can get done, nothing. I'm hoping it doesn't go that long without anything, I'm trying to figure out where I can take the kids so that they can at least get a bath and I can wash sippy cups. This sucks :/

fill up as many water bottles as possible. Fill the bathtub with water. Get food that doesn't require cooking. extra blankets if you only have electric heat. Its suppose to get real cold next week, too.

Go to a church for help if you have to.

Prayer to all.

I hope you are all well. Here's some resources I posted on resources for those affected by Sandy and for those who want to help.
