I had thyroid cancer and my hair falls out and is very fine, I heard a celebrity hairdresser say to take prenatal vit. Is this ok to do if ylu are not pregnant? And then which one?

Yes, it should be ok - the only hesitation I wonder about is with your treatments.  My mom always took pren. vits specifically for her hair growth. I like Rainbow Lights Just 1 daily prenatal.

You may want to try rosemary essential oil drops in your shampoo - it will help thicken your hair also.

I hope this helps you :)

Thank you very much for your response.  My treatments were finished June 2010, so that should not be a problem.  Also I will go to the Natural Health Food Store today and look for the Rosemary oil!!  Awesome Help, I will let you know how it works.

Debbie

Depends on what size bottle as to how much you would want to add. I'd say 2 drops of essential oil to a dime/quarter sized squirt should do well.

You can also buy rosemary herb and soak it and rinse your hair in that...Just in case you find that the essential oil effects oily scalp at all. I never had a problem with it as an adult, but just FYI :)

Speaking of rosemary: A yummy treat I love is ice water with a sprig of fresh rosemary that has soaked in it for a bit. I don't even really like rosemary except for hair tonics, but for some reason I love it in the water. A friend introduced me to that, and it was delicious!

Not sure if drinking it will help your hair (probably won't!) but still something to do if you get an abundance of herb!

Best of luck!
