I live in Schuylkill County and I'm in search of a future Midwife to hopefully preform a water birth. In the mean time because we are planning on conceiving latter this year...I'm also in search of a OBGYN. I would like to be able to find a facility that is with in 30 miles of the 17963 area code that offers all of these services. This area is really terrible when it comes to more natural and holist medical approaches...can anyone help?

I can't tell where you are exactly, but since you're searching for natural minded stuff, I'll figure you're planning to nurse your baby.  Going to an LLL meeting is a way to meet like-minded individuals & to connect w/ the moms & moms-to-be on holistic stuff.  Meetings are open to women who plan to nurse their babies.  If you go to LLLI.org, you can get to a map & that will help you to see if there is one close enough to you.

Best wishes,

Sus

Baby the babies while they're babies so they don't need babying for a lifetime.

I'm a doula located in Schuylkill county. Unfortunately there is no LLLI located in this county. Harrisburg area is the closest LLL. PM me for the names of some midwives that *may* come.

I don't have experience with them but I was researching and found the Reading Birthing Center. I believe they have traveling midwives. It seems like it is worth checking out! If you come across any good pediatricians, I'd love to know!
