Hi all! I live in AZ right now, but I have a friend back home in Buffalo who is due with her first baby in 13 weeks. She's a low income single mama and she's hoping to have a great birth experience but doesn't have a lot of support. She's going to be giving birth at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
Does anyone know of a doula in the area who is either in training or works on a sliding scale? I'm hoping to find her an affordable option!
Thanks in advance!
Here is a link to doula's in Buffalo http://www.buffalobirth.com/doulas-birht.html I haven't connected with here, but it's a place to start.

Life Cycles Center (www.lifecyclescenter.org) trains doulas. They will have/know of doulas who will work for free to finish their training. My doula, Angel Kulczyk, was trained there. Mine was the first birth she attended and she was excellent.
