Hi Mamas,

I searched the archives & found a previous thread with ped suggestions in this area, but almost all as of 2011 had changed their policies & were no longer accepting delayed or non vax patients. The last post was in 2011, does anyone have any current suggestions for Ped's in this area?! Thanks!

I take my daughter to a family practice in Newville. While I vaccinate, I do it on a modified schedule, and Dr. Pion is very accomodating. The pratice works with a lot of the plain folk in the surrounding area, so they are a bit more flexible. For example, I elected to not do the flu shot and he was ok with it. He simply encourged us as grown ups to get it because I was still nursing, and my husband works in a school. I decided not to go the ped route and I have not regretted it. I like the idea that this Doc sees my daughter, husband, and even my father--he can address medical issues, like allergies on a whole family level. I also think he has tended to be more relaxed about some issues and just enourages things to run their course rather than medicating and intervening.
