Hello!

I am looking for information on birth centers either in MA in the greater Boston area (I know of Cambridge Health Alliance currently) or in RI in the Providence area

I am a recent graduate of BU and Im hoping to go back to school next year for Midwifery...however as of right now Im looking for a job, just like every other recent grad : so I figured I might try and call the birth centers in the area and see if I could go in for an interview

Thanks for the help in advance!

There is the North Shore Birth Center that operates out of Beverly Hospital. And although they don't have a birth center, you may want to check out Boston Medical Center and use your BU connections. They do have a real nice midwifery group who practice there.

There are no free standing birth centers in RI, however there are plenty of midwifery groups, some who attend births at the alternative birth center in Providence, which is just a separate wing of Woman & Infants.

Christian SAHM & birth doula.
