I am looking for a Child Psychologist to do an evaluation for my 5.5 year old.

If you have someone you'd recommend (or NOT recommend!) for evaluations or treatment only, could you please PM me with your opinions?

For evaluation, Boston to Worcester is fine. For treatment Metrowest to Worcester is ideal.

Thank you in advance!

I used to work for Dr. Roger Cohen in Brighton. He's a neuropsychologist, and does evaluations on children.

Come ponder with me about food!

Does he specialize in children? Or only work with children (and their families)?

I've only had an eval for ds by a neuropsych in Providence.

My friend recently had her child evaluated in metrowest though. I can ask her if she recommends who she brought her child to.

His populations tend to be children (I don't know if he does much with families-sorry), and adults with head injuries. He has found schools and programs for those with greater needs. I'm PMing you his contact info.

Sharon Schwartz and Barbara Gangemi at Turning Point in Hopkinton are wonderful.

Their website is hideous, but their practice is really great. I've taken my 6 yo there for a while now. Also been for counselling for myself with Sharon and another practitioner.

Depending on what you need the evaluation for - we just had a great eval. at the May Institute in Randolph. They handle kids on the autism spectrum, but they do other work as well: behavioral issues, developmental disabilities, brain injury, etc. They were very professional and we didn't have to wait too long to get in. Check out www.mayinstitute.org.

Good luck!
