Just came across a poster for this harvest festival later this month. We've not gone to this one in the past, but it sounds good... anyone else been before? Any other suggestions for good similar events that are really kid-friendly? I know there are a lot to choose from!

This is on the South Shore, MA--
There is a corn festival Sat. the 11th at South Shore Natural Science Center in Norwell-- but I don't know much about it. Hoping to go for a little bit. http://www.ssnsc.org/

Mass Audubon has Farm Days- I think the next weekend, I think its the one in Marshfield...

And then some cranberry festivals coming up. Love the fall!

We can't make the SSNSC one due to schedule conflicts, but I've been before and it is awesome. They have nature trails and a rescue owl (named Hedwig) on the property. And you might end up having a chance to buy some of my cornbread if I get around to making any to donate

NEXT Saturday, the 18th, is the annual Farm Day at the O'Neill Farm. VERY kid friendly and you're supporting a local food producer.

Ah, nice... I've been meaning to take the kids back to Sturbridge, as we haven't been in a long time.

I also heard that Deerfield Village is doing a honey harvesting program this month. Not exactly a community harvest festival, but it sounds worth checking out.
