Just wanted to share that ICAN of Rhode Island will be holding their monthly meeting this coming Sunday, December 5th at 1pm.  The meetings are helt at Bellani Maternity at 1279 Bald Hill Rd. in Warwick. (the same plaza as Chili's and Pier One).  This month, Dr. John Morton and Dr. Susanna Magee will speak. The doctors, who practice at Memorial in Pawtucket, are trail blazing a cesarean technique in Rhode Island that allows immediate skin-to-skin contact, delayed cord clamping and nursing in the operating room. They will discuss their work and how when a vaginal birth is not an option, a cesarean birth can be recognized and honored as what it is- a baby's birth.
