Can anyone recommend a non-vax or select/delayed vax friendly Dr in the Hartford, CT or Springfield, MA area?  We live in CT but about five mins from the MA line.  Open to anyone so MD, ND, FP....so long as they aren't vax/rx happy and knowledgable with babies.  We currently drive about 30mins to DD's pedi who initially was very open to delayed/selective vax but as time goes on she's trying to push more and more (gives me scare tactics like worst case scenarios of all the horible things my child will be exposed to) so it may be time to move on especially since I'm at a stand still with vax and may not vax future children.  I know there are a million and one of these Dr's at the other end of the state (NY line) but I just can't afford the gas to make that kind of drive so I'd like to keep it within 30mins of Enfield, CT....although I might extend that to 40mins for the right place!  Thanks :-)

Dr Mohammed Khera,           winsted pediatrics, Winsted, Ct...860-738-0400...he is in Litchfield county...we've had him for 15 yrs now.

He should be about a half hour from enfield...or he may even have a colleague in your area...give him a call. He's great at referring people to his relatives!! Dentist, drs, etc...He is Pakistani and respects parental choice...he's also the type of dr who can just look at a child and tell whats wrong.

Dr. St. Onge in Avon.  I know there are threads on this in the "Finding your tribe" forum also.  Good luck!

Dr. Jerome Lahman in Vernon may be an option.

Our pedi, Dr. Schuck in Windsor, has been ok with delaying some vaxes.  I think he could deal with skipping chicken pox, etc- the less serious ones- but probably would not be ok with polio, etc.
