Hello ladies!

I just relocated from Boston to Wethersfield, CT and am searching for either a family doctor for our whole family or a pediatrician for our 15-month-old.  We do vax but had a homebirth, are still breastfeeding, co-sleeping, etc., and would like a doctor who will be supportive and holistic.  I read that Dr Barbara Phillips is great but she is not accepting new patients.

Also, I am looking for playgroups, activities for kids, etc.

Thank you so much!!

We go to Dr. Schuck at Pedicorp in Windsor.  They also have an office with different docs in W Hartford.  He didn't blink an eye at our homebirths, BFing until age 2, cosleeping, etc.  We have delayed a couple of vaxes with the kids and that has been ok with him as well.  I think his own views are more "standard" but he has been fine with our "crunchiness." He is relatively young himself and has little kids so he is very understanding.

I would also recommend that you message Lana Mancini Elder on FB and ask if you can join "Playgroup"- she runs a site that is basically a crunchy-ish-moms-meetup.  Lots of great, low-pressure activities.

Dr. Cindy St. Onge   She is in Avon.  She is an incredible pediatrician and supports our daughter also seeing a ND.
