Looking for feedback on Connecticut Childbirth and Women's Center - Mothering Forums

Hi ladies,

 

I'm a student midwife looking for holistically-minded midwives to train with and I'm wondering if you could share your experiences with this birth center. Was it positive? Would you recommend it? Pros/cons? Anyone know their transfer rates? Did you feel they were low-intervention? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I gave birth there last December. They were wonderful! I had a natural, unmediated birth that went very well. I labored in the tub. I know they have low transfer rates but I don't know the actual number. They are very professional and supportive!

Hello, about to have our second baby at the Birth Center, the midwives are wonderful.  There are four, and it seems they have good mix of backgrounds with the same overall philosophy.  Student nurses are respected and treated as part of the practice.  I would recommend this practice for any budding midwife.  Let me know if you have additional questions, I love the birth center!
